About Us
Our History
In
1996, Rev. Reimar Schultze realized many youth were going to camp,
receiving spiritual victory, yet losing it shortly thereafter. Then,
the next year, they would return to camp to start over again. God laid
it on Rev. Schultze’s heart to begin a ministry that would be a
framework the youth could follow upward in the months between camps—a
framework that would properly reflect the costs and joys of
discipleship.
Shadrach Discipleship
Youth Ministry offers many opportunities for youth to grow in their
Christian walk! From exciting retreats to challenging resources, our
program is centered around today's youth. We believe that they can
live holy lives, forsaking worldly habits and attitudes.
Our philosophy is that once
spiritual victory is gained, it can only be sustained by a day-to-day
commitment to discipleship.

Why Shadrach?
God wants to redeem our nation. He wants to bring another great
revival: a revival that closes bars, abortion clinics, divorce
lawyers’ offices, and that saves the lost by the thousands. And He
will use our youth to do this—if they are prepared!
Prepared?
How?
Our expectation of God must
be raised: We must know what He can do and what He wants to do. Once
our expectation is there, it will demand action/prayer from us.
We must not be content with
lukewarm, complacent Christianity in our youth: lots of talk, lots of
the world, and lots of the flesh with little or infrequent fire. For
example: are we fired up only after an emotion-wrenching concert or
worship service? Is our servanthood stronger on a mission trip to
Haiti than it is at home with our parents when they ask us to take out
the trash? Do we love to do Bible studies, but can’t conquer the
desire to argue with family members? Do our youth in America love
youth group, but dress like a harlot? Is prayer at the pole
consistent, but late night prayer and fasting behind the scenes
virtually nonexistent?
God
wants so much more! He really wants to come and make us on fire for
Him all the time - at home, at school, at work and in the marketplace.
He wants to give us a zeal that will drive us to our knees in
brokenness and agony for ourselves and the lost. His plan is to make
our family’s lives a wonderful worship experience together with iron
sharpening iron – even when we don’t have upbeat music! He wants our
love to be so great and deep for Him that we wouldn’t even dream of
dressing in a way that would displease Him. We would desire to know
His heart and mind in music, college choices, and relationships more
than we want anything else. We would let Him lead us in ways that
would bring shame to our reputation rather than doing our best to
‘look good’ to the world, Christian or pagan.
Christian romances would disgust
us. Most movies would be repulsive because of their worldly slant.
Worldly music with godly words would go against the grain of our
spirit. Our time would rather be spent in serving the needy or simply
basking in the presence of the Lord. Our songs/praise, whether complex
or simple, would be beautiful, from the heart, without artificial,
emotional stimulants built in. A heaven-bombarding prayer meeting will
be more attended than a guitar-bashing concert. Our worldview wouldn’t
come from mere academic teaching, but would flow from a life of prayer
and waiting upon God to know His heart on good and evil.
God wants—no
needs—a holy, dedicated people. Will you be one?
What youth has a heart to stand to this degree, willing to accept
scorn and reproach from even the Christian community which is doing so
many “good things”?
We need youth with a vision. We
need leaders who will inspire them in that direction. May God help us
all.
